How can i teach my german shepherd to obey one of those invisible fences?
Ive known people who have been unsuccesful in teahing their dogs to obey the boundry. How can i help my dog understand it better(i really dont know how else to put it).
Answer: Buy a good brand of fence and you will get set up instructions and a video to show you how to train your dog to respect the boundaries. Most good brands come with flags for you to set up to warn your dog when he's close to the boundary line.
You know these fences don't keep other animals out so if a dog comes by looking for a fight there's nothing stopping it from attacking your dog.
Some large dogs will take the hit from the fence if they want out badly enough. Problem is they are not prepared to take another hit to get back inside the fence.
